On Friday, June 26, Pitt Digital will automatically update GlobalProtect VPN to version 6.2.8 on all University Windows and Mac devices. This update brings enhanced security and improved stability to your VPN experience.
What to expect:
- Windows and Mac: The update runs automatically — no action or admin rights needed.
- Linux: Versions 6.2.8 and 6.3.3 will be available but require a manual install.
- All platforms: You will need to log back in after the update completes.
To update now, the latest version is available at software.pitt.edu or through the Enterprise Device Management (EDM) program for participating departments.
