As part of a summer-long network modernization initiative that’s nearing completion, the University’s Wi-Fi network names are changing at participating UPMC locations.
The next time Pitt affiliates visit one of the following locations, they should connect to Wi-Fi using the new PittNet network name. On Thursday, Sept. 3, the legacy WIRELESS-PITTNET and PITT GUEST WI-FI network names will no longer be available.

- Children's Hospital
- Children's Hospital Office Building
- Forbes Tower
- Iroquois Building
- Madison Avenue
- Medical Arts Building
- Oxford Building
- Rangos Research Center
- University Center
- UPMC Mercy
- UPMC Pavilion
- UPMC Western Psychiatric
Tips for Connecting
- You’ll be prompted to accept a certificate the first time you connect a device to PittNet.
- If your device is set to connect automatically to WIRELESS-PITTNET, update your device preferences to use PittNet instead.
- PITT-MDA and Eduroam networks are not affected.

Please report any trouble connecting to PittNet or Pitt Guest by submitting a ticket or calling the Technology Help Desk at +1-412-624-HELP (4357). These reports help Pitt Digital identify any gaps and fine-tune coverage.
